A Kinkster Thought on a Busy Tuesday

When I’m doing something for or to the Top, I feel like I’m submitting. When the Top is doing something to me, I feel like I’m being dominated.

There is a difference. Discuss.

  1. There is a difference! I always had a feeling there was, but I thought it was mostly to do with specifics of fetishes, the difference between let's call it service and objectification. But this makes me think that there might be something more fundamental to it, and another point to the bigger point that what makes the top feel dominant is not necessarily the same stuff which makes the bottom feel submissive and vice versa.

Of course this is all complicated by the fact that making a bottom feel submissive can and often does make the top feel dominant and that the thing that the bottom does FOR the top might be letting them do things TO them...

But still. I wonder if it doesn't go some way towards explaining why my (vanilla) partner shows much less objections to doing things FOR me than to me doing things TO him -- I think he dislikes being dominanted much more than (mildly) submitting, and also why I don't get much of a (sexual) kick from people doing things for me...

    1. Really been meaning to respond to this one, but it's turning into an entire blog post. Should be up next week, hopefully.
